1967 Set Builder Dreaming?

I am guessing that I am like a lot of first time set-builders that chooses a classic set from the 60's.....1967(my personal favorite, first year I started watching baseball and loaded with Orioles cards) and soon discovers that most all lots and potential trades are lacking the ultra rare HI #'s from #534 to #609 I believe. It shouldn't be too hard to get to 500, then it's going to be difficult picking the HI #'s off one or two at a time. Does anyone have any leads on where I might locate some '67 HI #'s? I am looking for very low grade examples of these cards, so condition is definitely not a concern, it's just finding them more than one at a time that's the challenge. Any help would be appreciated!

    Good luck with the 67 set it's my favorite as well. I'm working on the set myself and looking for nm or better.
    The High number are around! If your looking for off grade cards you can pick them up with out to much trouble.

    I'm willing to bet that Bill Henderson (ebay handle: hendersonscards) would have a few in your desired condition. If you were to give him a call at (608) 755-0922, I'm sure he or Kenny could wrestle you up a few from his inventory. He can be a bit spacey, but he's a wonderful guy to work with.

    When I was working on this set raw a couple of years ago I was consistently able to get decent (would grade 4-7) high numbers for $5-$10 each for the commons. I think that's not too bad.

    I second that! Back in the mid 80's I put a '67 set together card by card ... mostly going to shows every Saturday and Sunday. HOWEVER, I do remember buying some from Bill (known as THE KING OF COMMONS). He was great to work with.

    BTW, I mailed those 67s to you yesterday.
