EGG on PCGS' Face?

I was looking through a few of the sets that were honored with "best in the registry" awards, and came upon this little anomaly. If you look at the "Best Canadian" sets, you will see that the Southern Cross collection is honored for the Newfoundland type set, with a statement that says "this set, while neither complete or in top condition, is a tribute to perseverance and determination. It's also proof that you don't need a million dollars to put together a meaningful collection of coins". Then, if you click on the link, it shows that the Southern Cross collection is currently in second place, and the Perth collection is in the top spot. You might be tempted to think that perhaps the Perth collection was registered too late for the pcgs deadline, yet it has a blue 2010 best in set icon by it's name, so clearly that's not the case. In any event, to me it's inconceivable to be recognized as a "Best Canadian Set" when you aren't even the top set in your own category. Thoughts?

I agree, I mentioned in the other post I did not understand why only modern sets were in the top three British sets, and this is even more of an anomaly.

Transition time I think and it will all shake out eventually.

On balance I think the registry folks do a super job; just glad I don't have it, with all the controversy, as on target
as it may be at the time, attached to it.

I have yet to find an instance when they weren't responsive, cooperative and busting it to accommodate when and
where they could....
