More than usual. Man, if c-r-a-p could fly, the organization would be an airport right now.

Last six games (current losing streak)

7/27 @ HOU = Loss 6-1
7/28 @ HOU = Loss 8-1
7/30 @ COL = Loss 17-2 (Set all sorts of records)
7/31 @ COL = Loss 6-5
8/1 @ COL = Loss 8-7
8/2 vs. MIL = Loss 18-1 (26 hits allowed)

Last six games? Cubs outscored 63-17.

Yet, all the frat boys and spoiled brat Britney Spears look-a-likes still head to Wrigley. Attendance on 8/2 was 37K+.

Man, it is so tough right now that I am thinking of heading to the hospital for a blood transplant. I don't know if I can bleed Cubbie blue anymore.

Just have to rant.

    yep we suck. That said, the attendance is what it is. All of those tickets were sold in February. No one is going to cancel their season tickets because there are a million more fans that will take their place. There are still tourists and people from central IN & IL, Iowa, and Nebraska going to see their 1 game for the year...and many of the locals are getting free tickets from the season ticket holders, or buying them for 25-35% of face from the scalpers. We could be Orioles or Mariners unwatchable and still draw 30K+ a night just based on the atmosphere...so there are a lot of people who get to go to games now that wouldn't be able to afford tickets otherwise. I have no problem with people who take their kids to a game during this abortion of a season. At least they can get in and out without spending $400+ on a 4 pack of Terrace Rsvd tickets and a few hot dogs and slop Old Styles. The TV and radio ratings are down, and ad revenues are sluggish. Whether the fans are showing up isn't really going to make a difference either way. The Ricketts aren't morons. They know this team blows whether the lemmings are in the yard or not. So get yourself resigned for the building up of Z's "value" so he can be Miltoned in the off-season, the D.Lee hasta la bye bye tour, and one more year of Aramis looking like a broken down geriatric. This is when investing in the MLB Package comes in handy. On the bright side, only 2 months until the puck drops.

    Because there is nothing better than an Old Style in the Bleechers at Wrigley... Cubs fans appreciate what others wish they had... a real stadium with a tradition that everyone else wants.

    Cubs stink? so what...
