I went down to the Bellaire Coin show today and found a bunch I could have bought, but only one I brought home. This one came from Craig Rose of Numis Europe in Dallas. He has loads of very nice early Swiss Cantons, as well as lots of other world stuff including South America. Almost no slabs, in fact he has several pieces he has cracked out with the grading insert included, he just isn't a fan of slabbing and enjoys having his coins in little envelopes or flips where you can hold them.
Anyway, this is an 1826 Aargau 5 Batzen, very good luster and really nice original old toning. But of course I'll send it in to be entombed with my next submission.
And notice the date on this one, blundered 2 and I am not yet sure what the 6 is over, possibly a 1 but I need to study it more.
