whats the best way to sell it for the gold content?
i have to get it weighed but it's a very heavy ring.
just guessing i would say it's over an ounce.
also have a thick gold wedding band.I cant find any markings on it but it was supposed to be a high quality band.
thanks for any info or insight.
i dont want to get ripped off by those cash for gold scammers.

i will knock out the stone before getting it weighed.
Alumni might want a crack at it.
I don't have a UGA one from when I gradumatated, and the official ones now I don't like. One of the old style ones would appeal to me if I found one as a collectible.
grad date on the side: 51
thats about it.
you "gradumatated"? lol
I'd find an alumni board or site or something and see about drumming up a buyer for that ring. Might not get you any more or less than ditching it for melt, but you never know with alumni that do silly things.
Do I gots to teach you everything?

Seriously, I'll keep an eye out for an old style one when making my rounds.
