1947 was a good year in Southern Rhodesia
King George VI was still King Emperor (of India):
Southern Rhodesia Penny 1947
Southern Rhodesia Three Pence 1947
Southern Rhodesia Six Pence 1947
Southern Rhodesia Shilling 1947
Southern Rhodesia Two Shillings 1947
Southern Rhodesia Half Crown 1947
King Emperor no more, now just a number:
Southern Rhodesia Penny 1951
Southern Rhodesia Three Pence 1948
Southern Rhodesia Six Pence 1948
Southern Rhodesia Shilling 1948
Southern Rhodesia Two Shillings 1948
Southern Rhodesia Half Crown 1948
In 1953 they got a Queen:
Southern Rhodesia Crown (Five Shillings) 1953
I visited South Africa and Rhodesia in 1971 but was not interested in coins then,
otherwise I could probably have acquired many coins from Southern Rhodesia,
Rhodesia and Nyasaland, and South Africa.
I did see a nice waterfall.

There are some cool designs there. I hadn't seen the 6d or the crown before. And that particular crown you posted looks like a nice example.
I see the bird sculpture (idol?) thingie on the shilling survived on Zimbabwe's coinage.
Nice thread.
