Yet we (the US) rush to make these same "token-like" coins to emulate Europe. At least with our clad coins one could see the visible copper strip on the edge (nickles not being worth it counterfeiting for circulation). This is one issue I see with making higher denomination coins. I know some of our fellow members are in favor of 2 and 5 dollar coins.
