any opinion???

I have been going thru a bunch of boxes of cards that have been sitting for a number of years and uncovered a card autographed by Craig Nettles. I don't ever remember getting his auto but having bought small collections over the years and it could have been in with the other cards. My question is does it look real to anyone out there who may be familiar with his auto???? any help appreciated. thanks al

I pulled this one off ebay - PSA/DNA

I think the N's look similar. I stink at sigs - so I'm not a good source for an opinion.

I am no expert by any stretch, but the sig looks good to me. I say it matches up well against the 1985 Donruss.

  • I was going to make a joke about why anyone would forge a Graig Nettles signature, but after taking a look at his stats, I decided not to. Learn something new every day. image

For my money, the two photographs in this thread could go both ways. Some aspects look like the same signature to me, some don't.

Also, my opinion on this matter counts for absolutely nothing...I don't even collect sigs, let alone have any qualifications to evaluate their authenticity. image

Thanks everyone for your thoughts. I would think it would be real since I live near Cleveland and he did spend several years with the Indians....and his stats are not bad either as mentioned....not HOF but he was a decent power hitter for a number of years. al.
