    Couple of thoughts
    1) I don't know how much the relic cards weigh, but I have my A&G stuff all over the den right now and I can say for sure that the relic cards weigh much more than a normal A&G card.
    2) Your strategy would actually help other collectors, assuming that your alternative means to find relic/auto cards would be to molest packs and bend the corners of all the cards. I would much rather buy a pack at target that had been weighed on Joey's weed scale, deemed a loser pack, but left the corners in tact on the cards I received.
    3) You are going to look really creepy weighing packs in Target or Walmart.

  • I also found it much easier to just go pick up one of the nice digital scales from the kitchen area to weigh them. When I'm done I just pack the scale back up and put it back on the shelf.

  • You need a micrometer to detect the difference in weight between a regular pack and one with a relic.

My.......I mean a weed scale won't detect the slight difference.

I am shocked. Shocked I say. Not only are you asking for advice on how to screw kids out of the joy of collecting and getting a desired card but you are getting good advice from formerly well respected contributers to this forum. There is no one other than DBOTW nominees on this thread. (except me of course) Even the moderators have a responsibility as they take weekends off and allow this information to be available to the public.

Ralph- Even the kids you're referring to would recognize that Joey's original post was a joke. Do you honestly think he's looking to buy a weed scale so that he can sit in stores and weigh packs? C'mon now.

I recognize he edited his original post. So evidently no DBOTW nomination this week. And you were oh so close.

methinks you're trying to hard for the DBotW nomination. Unfortunately (or fortunately if you want to look at it that way), past honorees have been been awarded for their exemplary behavior. You haven't even begun to piss people off yet. No soup for you.

Poor attempt at humor. Ralph did make a good point. Some lowlife may use (the now editted) info in such a way that may indirectly cause younger collectors to loose interest.

As for us older and some what jaded collectors, we are all aware of such behaviors and the jest of my satirical comment were directed at that crowd.

As for DBOTW, I can't win. Trust me I have tried over and over, however I even draw the line at personal comments or slurs. Thats probably why I can't win.

I have one more ace up my sleeve.

I personally think that any school that subtitutes a 'o' for a 'eaux' is a tool.

I personally think that bowling is for women.

I personally think they should rename the Cowboys to the Cowgirls. image

Thats my last bullet in my attempt at victory. If that does not work, then I give up.

You are correct. You have received a permanent ban from DBOTW consideration.
