Great Britain 1559 Sixpence Variety

This coin came up in the Aussie eBay recently, if you look at the obverse you'll note that the Z from Elizabeth is missing. I know nothing about English coins but this was too neat to pass up. Is it a known variety? Can anyone shed any more information about this coin?

I did a quick check and couldn't find anything on that one, either. Very interesting!

It appears to be a 1569, not 59, with a broken 6. Nonetheless, still have not heard of this one.

It's probably Brown, Comber & Wilkinson CN2/i1. The obverse CN2 can read ELIZZABETH, RGINA, REGINIA, ELIABETH or ELIZBETH. BCW doesn't attach much importance to spelling mistakes - rather the punches used on the design which can determine the die sequence. The reverse detail is too poor to readily differentiate between the different punches used, but i1 notes that most coins of this date have a flawed 6 & 9.
