Interesting eBay bidder blockage...

I set a snipe tonight on a card I needed to upgrade my 1948 Leaf set. The snipe didn't go through, but the seller had a few other items still running and rather low, so I placed a placeholder bid and was informed that I was blocked from bidding. I realize the seller has been mentioned here a few times (eBay ID cardmrchnt6ta4), but the card I wanted doesn't come up very often in the grade. Blocking me cost the seller at least $240, but probably saved me from getting a card that looks a little bit too narrow in the t/b borders.
Still have no clue as to why my buying ID was blocked although I sent an eBay message asking why...

<< <i>I think it was a blessing that you didnt win the card. Seriously. >>
That depends on whether you collect cards or collect flips. I assume Scott falls in the first camp, in which case I would recommend avoiding this seller's auctions.
