Hey Jokers...I'm getting married this weekend!

Okay, first things first, some of you have posted nasty things on my topic's when I've talked about personal things. Feel free to be "a" holes if you'd like. Your loss.

For the rest of you, I'm getting married this weekend so I'm sure I'll be missed around here since I post on average like one thing per week.

Everyone have a great week!

Ah schucks...thanks fella's! We're going to Asheville, N.C. for a week. Looking forward to some hiking, seeing the Biltmore, touring some artsy fartsy places. Originally we were going to Italy, but it worked out that we got a better deal for spring of next year. So, Asheville for now and then 2 weeks in Italy next spring.

Hey, we're going to Gatlinburg for a day. Isn't there a super huge card shop there? Anyone know the name of it or if it's still around?

Congrats on the marriage. I don't know the name of the card shop but it's in Pigeon Forge not Gatlinburg. It's right on the strip, you really can't miss it. Enjoy

Awesome. Just celebrated my 4th anniversary yesterday with me, the wifey and 11 month old, all sick as dogs. I still dragged us to a new mexican restaurant for guac and margaritas. That was a mistake. image

pfft. I'd go with Plan B... it at least works well with my wife and I. We have our budget, our excess money, and then the money we pay ourselves (like to call it our allowances). The allowance money goes to anything we personally want it to (within reason).

That way I don't complain when she wants a scrapbooking toy or to give money to a random person in need (she does this often) or to buy her umpteenth million pair of shoes. She doesn't complain when I save up for a new set of golf clubs or buy baseball cards or if I want something dumb like when I bought a leather bound History of the Civil War that was printed just 5 years after the Civil War.

I'm sincere when I say it will save a lot of monetary arguments. Heck, as a result we really support each other's hobbies and she recently was excited to see me open the PSA 9 1970 Nolan Ryan I bought from Bracken for $750.

Apparently I was wrong on my dates, It was printed immediately following the Civil War in 1865. I sent you a PM where you can both find a similar (better condition) one than I have.

Congrats on your wedding. I'm on year 12! There's a nice and clean card shop right on the strip in Pigeon Forge if your heading towards Gatlinburg it's on the right side. I think he's a little over priced, but seems like a nice guy who owns it.

    Have fun!!

Congrats! I'm rolling up on 18 this Sunday myself. Good times. Good times. The name of the card shop in Pigeon Forge is "The Dugout". As has been said, he's pricey but a decent shop, especially for just looky looky.
