Negged for nothing/ edit for retaliation

Just a note to everybody who plays fair, evanjames820 just dinged me over a .99 transaction for a pair of cards worth over 10.00 without notice or explaination. The guy has only one other transaction recently in the past year, but shows he has left negs for several other auctions. Block this guy !!!

  • BBL, thanks
  • Turns out that "evanjames820" is a buying only alias for "abejam11" of whom I left one of my only neg. feedback comments for 6 months ago. Dumb SOB worded his feedback the same as mine. Ebay is having it removed as retaliatory(?) feedback is a no-no.

You left the guy a neg for having bad manners and over priced shipping. Appearently you didn't read the auction description???

Then you start a thread here to whine about getting one in return.

I'm guessing you've also complained in the past about sellers having no recourse against bad buyers... Just a guess.

Probably true...and the guy was probably mad there was a misspelling in the neg NCDOLFAN left him,

  • im guessing because your fb is at 100% you pride yourself on good transactions, work with buyers, ect,, so why did you leave a neg for a guy over a 10.50 card,,, after 6 months it seems this guy is still pissed about it, obviously, of course we dont know the details but come on, you ruined a guys perfect fb over a 10.50 card, i dont sell cards but i do have you on my bb list, just saying,,, reep what you sew,,, i got a neg once because a guy bought from me under one name, and this was before deliv confm was used by ebay to prove shipping,, i always trusted people but after this guy never again, he bought under one ebay name, waited 2 weeks then file a claim saying he never got them, he got his money back and i tracked down my marbles i sent and he was selling under his alter ebay name, dumb nas used the same paypal email addy as the other ego, easy to track down, i told ebay about it, they didnt give a crap, i filed to get my fee's back and he negat'ed me for it, i went back to ebay they said that i could write an explaination under his, i did, he came back with a follow up saying i sold fakes on ebay,, i went back to ebay and said how could he do this if he claimed never to have got the initial sale that he filed the claim over,, ebay said there was nothing there that warrented removal,, so you put yourself in my shoes and try to sell legit stuff with a neg that says that i sell fakes,, ya i stopped listing , my heart went out of selling, i dont and never did sell anything fake but them words stuck on my fb,, so your little 10.50 card deal may have hurt this guy more than the frustration you went through,, think before you neg.,,,, bj

What an interesting chain of events we have here.

This is exactly why I always like to hear 2 sides of a story.

And why I don't just add names to my BBL.

    Good for you.
  • I don't take feedback lightly which is why I've only left two negs. Both deserved it, end of story. Ten cents or ten thousand cents. You who want to sit in judgement and say I got my up'n comin's will note that first and foremost leaving negs as retaliation has nothing to do with ebay business, just revenge.

Your neg was for revenge also...

You were obviously pouting because he didn't respond well to you not wanting to pay the shipping price stated in the auction. You really showed him didn't you?

You should ask questions or make requests to pay what you think is a fair shipping price before you enter a bid. And not slam the seller in his feedback when you are mad about having to own up to your end of an agreement.

Bringing this here to slam him in a public forum is just another example of your revenge.

Negging for high shipping when the price is clearly marked in the auction is stoooooopiiiidddddd.

Now before this thread derails, if someone advertises bubble mailer and then sends in PWE, yes, especially if the card is damaged
IT IS ALWAYS CHEAPER TO NOT SELL ON EBAY
  • Did any of you ever stop to consider maybe the reason I said he overcharged was because he charges 4.00 for shipping and then sends a stamped first class envelope ,I'm not the only one, his star rating says that, and that maybe he was trying to pass off a ex-mt card for mint and then refused to accept a return which then led to a paypal dispute. If 10.50 is such a drop in the bucket to you guys, just paypal 10.50 to me because I got some great junk to sell you.

Negging a guy because of that is weak to me. Sounds as if you got what you deserve. If you paid postage and the card arrived who cares how he mailed it. It's petty to worry about something so trivial.
  • I wonder how much money I have saved by intentionaly bidding on items that were shipped with inflated shipping charges.

Amazing people would rather pay 25.00 and 2.00 shipping and handling than 5.00 and 10.00 shipping and handling for the same item. If the shipping price is listed and you get the item in the condition you bought it in there should be no real issue.

Good point. I have purchased many cards at a very good price but inflated shipping. There is a point where shipping is too high for me to bid but it is not at the level I read so much complaining about. I would worry about consigning to someone who makes his money on shipping.

I agree, many people...including those on the list, would rather pay the $25.00 with the $2.00 shipping.

Maybe we considered that he came over to your house and kicked your dog too??? This is the first we've heard of the snad claim. Are you just throwing wild defense scenario's at us now? And if not, how did that dispute get worked out in the end?

By the way, what this is really about is $1.50 not $10.50. The extra shipping amount you consider unfair... The amount it took for you to exact your revenge.

Actually, after having another look. It seems as though the OP charges $3.50 per card, and he left a neg to a guy that charges $4.00...

Not really up on my math but it's looking like all this bs is about 50 cents.

  • Look, I'm just saying there are two sides. I have a long fuse and usually as you know people sell overgraded raw on ebay. Most of the time you call them out and return the card, I get a refund and I'll leave pos. feedback for good business practice. Maybe he was having a bad day,or week but he made me mad enough to do what I really don't normally do. When there are mutiple failures of the seller do represent his product, his shipping fees and his willingness to correct a possible mistake...me as a buyer am just supposed to say "oh well, let's see if I can get taken and abused again today by some other seller". Crawler, yes I charge 3.50 for shipping... for a bubble mailer which costs .75 DC and postage that is usually around 2.30 to 2.70 depending how heavy the cardboard is I secure the card with. I DO NOT SEND CARDS IN LETTER ENVELOPES AND CHARGE 4.00. And many times I have been overcharged with envelopes, newengland is a perfect example but he doesn't misrepresnt the condition of his cards. Take the loupe out of your eye and start looking at the bigger picture. He was the one to intentially buy a card from me just to leave neg. feedback.

So this NCDOLFAN breaks down his shipping costs that equate to him buying mailers at Office Depot three at a time, and going to the post office for all his packages and having them process it? I don't buy it.

Hell I guess I am doing things wrong. I have only been buying bubble envelopes 3 at a time. Ok, not really but is there a better place to get these. I have been buying them in 10 packs for like $6 a pack at Office Depot. A few months ago they had buy 1 get one free but that is long gone.

The prices are better at eSupply, but the free shipping at RoyalMailers is what makes them less expensive (for me at least).

500ct #000 mailers at eSupply = $42.00 + $14.14 shipping (your zip code may change this price) = $56.14 which is 11.228 cents each

    500ct #000 mailers at RoyalMailers = $48.99 - 10% disc. $4.90 + free shipping = $44.09 which is 8.818 cents each
