iphone/ipodtouch/etc.. making a list

I was just sent an awesome Master list of Ken Griffey Jr by someone on another board. I now have a question for you. Is there a way I can take this master list and import it to the iphone and use it as a checklist. Keep in mind griffey has over 11,000+ cards and it would not be cool to carry this massive binder of all his cards. I want something i can carry in my pocket and my iphone would be great. If im at a card show and i see a griffey i dont have, i can scroll through my phone and find the card and check it off. I tried to find an app for something like this but am having trouble. Does anyone use something similiar to this? any ideas?

I know you can download mobile office document readers and editors for the Android-based phones...I'd assume Apple has those too.

If so, just carry an Excel spreadsheet and do the deed from there?

I don't have an Iphone so not sure if it operates like most mobile phones, but couldn't you do this with a mobile excel spreadsheet?

Also, I don't know how Google Documents looks on an iphone, but if it's not annoying, just manipulate the Excel* spreadsheet from there.

I'm pretty sure I can open excel spreadsheets on my iphone, been a while it's worth sending one to yourself as a test.

I just email the documents that I need to myself. Easy and quick.
