I think it depends on what you mean by "best" rookie. His rarer more expensive main stream issues cards would be the Topps Traded Tiffany, Bowman Tiffany and Fleer Glossy. His most popular is probably the 89 Upper Deck #1. Its a classic. The Belingham and other San Bernadino cards are his minor league issues, with the San Bernadino card being very difficult to come by in high grade. Hope that helps, you shouldnt have much trouble finding any of the above, it really depends on what you want to spend. For the money, the 89 Donruss in PSA 10 is a good value.
To me the best means most expensive. The Bowman Tiffany is his highest price raw card, followed by the Topps Tiffany Traded. Long term these are the winners becuae of much lower supply, that simple. His most popular is clearly the 89 Upper Deck and this card you can find anytime you want in almost any condition you want on EBAY. If you want to try and hit the lottery buy sealed 89 Fleer Glossy. There is extremly low population of Gem Mint cards and the spread between 8, 9, and 10 is very large there.
i like the bowman card too, and prefer pack pulled rc's over factory set (tiffany etc...) rc's. ...not a big fan of the upper deck reprints personally!
