Any way I can allow my Ebay auctions to accept bids only from US or Canada?

I keep getting removing bids from foreign countries that I don't ship to. Is there anyway I can put a default that restricts bidders only to the US and Canada? Even though I put in BOLD and big print I don't ship outside US and Canada, I still get emails saying "Do You ship to (Insert foreign country here)?" Any help is appricated. Thanks.

Yes you can, but forget exactly where. Go to my account and look on the left area for my preferences, it may be in there somewhere.

Look at your Sell Your Item Form (SYIF).

Check the appropriate boxes.

If I read the last ebay email right, I believe they will be offering that sometime in the near future.

On that note, why is it called the "lower 48" when Hawaii is even further south???

why exclude Hawaii, Alaska or even the US territories all of these are relatively painless to ship to unless you are selling something extrememly bulky

Using UPS would cost a fortune. I found that out the hard way when I was going to ship it UPS to someone in Hawaii. I do typically prefer to ship higher priced goods UPS (because they do include standard insurance for the first $100 and package tracking; PO charges extra for both).

Maybe because Hawaii was the 50th state?
