Grades back from Shipping Debacle !!!

Morning,

A few weeks ago a did a thread about a clown who shipped me set of 1942 M. P. & Co. America At War set of 5 each 8 Cards Strips, 48 cards. He just threw them loose between two skinny thin thin pieces of cardboard and the Postal Service bent them in two places creasing and destroying numerous cards and all the strips. I was pissed, paid $143. for the set. Worked with the seller, he refunded $83, so I paid $60 and kept the strips.
Broke them down and sold off all the crease, bent, torn cards and sub'd the rest.

Overall pretty happy, I called them as soon as they Popped yesterday and all of the MC stuff is going back to grading, I have had this argument with PSA before and Won, the cards were originally poorly manufactured so the pictures don't always line up with the perferations, but they still have to be seperated on the perferations....This does not make them MC. Last time they just Re-holdered with same grade and dropped the MC designation, we'll see what happens this time.

Anyway, only 3 straight 9's existed before this for the entire set, now I have two, maybe four more !!!!!!

Don't know where the VG-EX 4 came from, but grading these has to be about as subjective as it can get on grading!!!

This is BS. You said "so the pictures don't always line up" and "don't always" means that the cards do sometimes come lined up. Cards that line up deserve to be graded higher than cards that are MC. If every example of every card always comes the same way then it's a different story.

    KB,

    Evening,

Appreciate your opinion and lack of knowledge of the product mentioned in this thread, have always tried to be there for you when you have an opinion on something, and have never jumped off the edge myself, never particularly defended you, but never tried to make you out as an idiot. But evidently you need to make an opinion on something you have no clue about, so anyway, enjoy your high and mighty opinion. Next time you sub a Lot of 40's Non Sport give me a shout and we can discuss the details.

    Have a great time!!

So there's a difference between miscut and mis-perforated?

  • If the cards were printed the same as a miscut, wouldn't that be the same thing? I'm confused.

Seems like a very weak argument but that doesn't mean it won't sway PSA. At the very best I would think you might talk your way into an OC qualifier here rather than the MC qualifier. Without images it's impossible to tell but from the description they sound like the very definition of off-center.
