Just won this on eBay, I'm not particularly familiar with the issue but it's a nice looking coin:

Detail is a bit soft on the obverse but its quite reminiscent of the later 1934 proof strikes from the Melbourne mint with slightly softened central strikes due to over polished dies.

I doubt that from the images anything can be determined as to whether this is a proof- there are some positive signs

It is a little odd that the seller has another 45 Piastres for sale.....

Hmm, I guess my next question should be, is it authentic? A soft central strike is also a sign of a die produced from a business strike (i.e. a die struck copy).

I agree that this coin does not look quite right, and I have a couple of currency strikes, one PCGS64 & a proof - this looks like neither of them and just does not look "right".

112 pounds pretty steep as well for a currency. Screams repro/fake to me.

Ahh crap, I just checked his ID history, this pig was selling fake Centenary florins and '38 crowns a few months back - we dereg'd him, how was his account reinstated?

Aye, it doesn't look right at all - it has that kind of dulled toning I associate with die struck fakes. Also, the crown is missing most of the central jewels and pearls.
