40 YEARS HAVE GONE SINCE.......

40 years ago Alan Rayner a prominent numismatist and I had a vision, a future direction to coin collecting. We sat and agreed over lunch the link between QUALITY and RARITY for different grades. At this time in 1970 it was revolutionary in the UK. Some two years later we had printed some 10’000 copies that Spinks agreed to purchase.
“The Standard Catalogue of ENGLISH MILLED COINAGE in silver, copper and bronze 1662-1972. Short Spinks named it EMC.
You might ask why 40 years has passed and neither of us wrote anything more about the book. It appears to my memory we were many years to early. An interesting question where are all the books? Wow it was a lot even at that time. We produced 1 price list and today although I have a copy of the book not a copy of the price list.
Fellow collectors I would be interested if anyone still has a copy?, what is your opinion of Rarity to Grade as a catalougue?
Regards
