Gold Buffalo Storage Question

Hi Everyone -
Been a long-time lurker around here and have only posted a few times. The wealth of information on these forums about the hobby is truly outstanding.
Recently, I've been considering adding some 1oz Gold Buffalos to my holdings. After doing some homework, it seems the mint ships these in 5x4 sheets as opposed to tubes used for Gold Eagles. From a storage standpoint, this does not appear to be optimum at all.
So, I did some homework. Turns out the only physical size difference between the Gold Eagle & Buffalo is the thickness -- 2.87mm vs. 2.95mm.
My question is this.. is there any reason I couldn't use Gold Eagle tubes to store my Buffalos? Maybe I can "only" fit 19 in there due to the ~3% thickness difference, but from a storage-standpoint, it should be just fine.. right?
Any help would be unbelievably appreciated. Thanks a ton.

For the buffs, I would cut up the sheet into individual squares to make them much easier to handle.
<< <i>I don't know about the buffs, but the silver maples that come in sheets are a PITA. What do I need a tarp full of silver for?

"tarp of silver"! I agree
I don't plan on purchasing an entire sheet at once.. guess I should ask how APMEX ships one or two of em -- if they're just cut from the original sheets or what.
Thanks a ton, everyone. I really appreciate it.

Inevitably, as soon as I get them tucked away, I need to get them back out.
For practical purposes, I've not seen a problem in using the cheap 2x2 stapled cardboard holders for individual coins, but I don't know if Gold Buffs are too soft for that storage method. Kointains might be a good answer if you are looking to conserve storage space.
I knew it would happen.
Valley Coin
I buy from them regularly and they are great people.

Guess that'll have to do.
Thanks again for the replies!
