Anyone hear from PoppaJ?

Been a long time since I have seen anything from PoppaJ? Anyone still talk to him? If so pass along a hello from me!

Doug, With the two of you being large Mantle fans and collectors, I was kind of hoping you were staying in touch with him. I think when things got a little "crazy" on the boards, I remember him saying he was through with the boards. Hope he is well, I sure do miss the great Mantle information he was able to bring to these boards.

He had a 3000 post contest, and I think his post count still stands at 3001 or so. Did he ever announce the winner, or if there was a winner, did they ever receive anything?

Nick ... to the best of my knowledge he left the boards before announcing who the winner was ... very unlike him ... he must have been really pissed about all the BS that was going on ... He WAS a GREAT MICK fan!

Matt ... I wish I was in contact with him ... like you stated, he had a wealth of info on THE MICK ... as MICK was my idol growing up I truly enjoyed whatever Poppa had to share when it came to MANTLE.
