HR Derby & All-Star Game --- Pics Added

Going to the All Star Game AND the Home Run Derby. This is the first time the All Star Game is back in So Cal since Bo Jackson hit that shot, and I was just a kid. Since I live like 10 miles from the stadium, I'm taking advantage this time. I'll be taking lots of pictures and I'll post them when I get a minute.

Good times at the Home Run Derby. Freakin Torii Hunter predicted that "Big Papi" was going to win the thing and he sure did! He was crushing the ball! Some of the 94 home runs that were hit tonight were rockets. I think the longest was like in the 490 foot range! Anyway, my friend and I had a blast. I'm looking forward to an even better time tomorrow at the All-Star Game. I'm going to bring my "good" camera and lens to get some better pictures than what you see below.

That's me in the Angel gear.

Hank and Reggie....Reggie interviewed Hank Aaron, Frank Robinson and Rod Carew. It was awesome seeing all of them. At one point, Jackson, Aaron and Robinson were standing together...that's way over 1800 home runs right there (I think)!!!

Edit: Sorry for the large pics. I'll try to resize in the morning.

Yeah, the tickets weren't cheap and I'm still sitting in the upper upper deck. I wasn't even going to the Home Run Derby until my friend said I had a man-gina!

I'm also headed to the game. I don't have tickets to the HR Derby, but got decent tickets to the game. Field level, near the right field foul pole and about 12 rows back. I'm not sure if I'm more excited about the game or the fact that they're bringing in different concession stands from other stadiums (Lobster rolls from Fenway caught my eye).

Enjoy the game. I have been at 1 All star game that was in 1988 Cincinnati the seats were great, but I had pay to 225.00 a ticket (lower level in between home and 3rd) it was great. except the AL won 2 to 1. image

have fun, my father had tickets to the All Star Game at Fenway 10 years ago and gave them away. When I asked him whey didn't he give them to me he told me "I did not think youwould of wanted to go." Smart man 99% of the time but not that time.

I went to the last All Star Game in Anaheim and stayed at the Hilton Towers where all of the players stayed. Great way to get autographs! I still remember like it was yesterday Bo's bomb off of Rick Rueschel to lead off the game. I also went to the All Star Game in 1983 in Chicago and 1985 in Minnesota. I would have loved to have gone to the 1999 game at Fenway.

Great pictures. Thanks for sharing your experience. I have only been to 1 All Star game in my life and it was the NBA the year it was in Charlotte. I only live about 17 miles from the areana. I'm not even an NBA fan. Just went because I could. How many chances does one ever have to see an All Star game?
