I thought it would be fun to post my recent submissions and what I expect each card to grade, then update and compare when they pop.

My reviews just came in. I had sent back 3 of my 6 voucher cards:

1990 Upper Deck Ben McDonald ERROR....originally received an 8.5, no grade change.

1991 Upper Deck Nolan Ryan Comic Ball 2 Promo w/Bugs....originally received a 10 (sent for comparison to McDonald), no grade change.

1993 Upper Deck Ken Griffey Jr. Promo (1992)...orginially received an 8, bumped to a 9! Very happy about this.

There's 1 more batch out there still, but overall, I feel like I've tossed almost $400 down the toilet. Everything "common" that I graded for my PC came back an 8 or a 9 and I do not keep 8's of 1980's junk stuff unless it's incredibly scarce.

The cards that I thought would help pay for my PC cards pretty much all got 9's or lower. Not a very promising experience.

nice thread. i would def email or call customer support to confirm the flips are correct. if you do it the same day the grades pop.. they can usually fix them the same day. I've had to do that my last few subs. The customer service is great and very helpful.

And if they don't change things, they'll put sticky notes on the cases/card savers telling you why they decided what they did. Gotta love those sticky notes.

It's really amazing to see the difference between graders in the first and second batch. In 11 years of on again/off again grading, this is my best example of how fickle and not-streamlined the whole process is. The second batch grader was not only harsh, but a handful of cards (like the 2 Ghostbusters stickers) almost feel like they just made up the grades based on their condition parameters (in this case, solid black, border-less cards "No way those could be 10s!!"). I look forward to posting scans of these and getting the forum's opinion(s). At this point, I will be throwing more money into reviewing those two stickers simply out of principle alone, since they were going into my PC.

To top of it off, it really irks me that PSA provides a space labeled "variety" on the sub forms but their graders aren't held to actually use it. All of my 1990 Pro Set variations are cataloged (and typically well-known) variations in the big books, also noted as such by me on the sub form, yet it would appear that they didn't note them on the labels/registry.
So now I'm supposed to wait for them, re-submit them (mechanical error), wait for them again, then pay to have them sent to me again? Sadly, this has been a tedious and unrewarding process and I may just have to scour ebay for what I want, rather than continue to submit my own cards.
