1909 VDB Proof - #6 of the first 24 struck

In going over some auction catalogs I picked up at the ANA Summer Seminar, I found these two lots from the Stack's 4/21/77 sale. #1147 brought $525 and #1148 brought $700. The striking date for the 1908-S is 3 days before the reported mintage began.
