Wow the registry is really a powerful drug.

I was watching a card that I needed for one of my registry sets. I don't have any spare money at the time, but I still like to watch to see what some of the things I need go for. Well there was a card that went unsold at $35 dollars in a 7 day auction and was relisted at $25. After another 7 days the card sold for double what it was fist listed at. Maybe the buyer didn't see it listed the first time or was trying for a better deal, but saw somebody put a bid in on it? I know its probally not a lot of money to most here, but the person could have saved a little by bidding the first time around.

Now that I am thinking about it there was 2 people willing to spend almost double the amount that the seller had it listed for the first time.

It's amazing how much this happens, I've seen it happen many times with cards I've watched. What really sucks is if it was a card you were going to bid on and forgot about it and realize that you could have been the only bidder and got it at the start bid and THEN watch it go for double or more the next time around!

  • ssollars,

I hear ya. I wish I had extra cash right now, because I would have put a bid on it the first time around.

I forgot to bid on a card the other day (65 PSA 8 Lumpe). It was relisted at $5 less, then sold for more than the 1st listing, and more than the BIN. I felt like an idiot for letting it get away. Oh well, there will be others.
