Just started 1956 Topps Baseball

Hey everyone,

Since I'm almost finished with my Basic Clemente (all I need is his rookie), I decided to start collecting the '56 basic set. I believe it is one of the most beautiful sets and it has so much star power. Below are some scans of my first pick ups (Special thanks to Bkritz for all the PSA 7s!). I have a few more that I am waiting for in the mail and I'll post those as soon as I scan them.

    That's a great set - a real classic!!!! Good luck with it. Have you given consideration to the grade you desire and a time frame to complete it?

    You're talking Clemente right? I'm looking for a 4 or a 5. I think I can afford the 4 right now, and if I save up then the 5.

    As for the '56 set. I'm hoping to get the whole thing in PSA 5-6-7's. It's going to take a while, but I think I can be patient.

    yes the clemente rookie.

    Also, the 56 set in 5,6 and 7 will be sweet!

    Try to get well centered 6's and not what otherwise would be 8oc's

    PSA-7's:
    #6 Ray Boone PSA-7 $28
    #102 Jim Davis PSA-7 $22
    #219 Lew Burdette PSA-7 $35
    #233 Carl Erskine (nice) PSA-7 $60
    #235 Don Newcombe PSA-7 $60
    #282 Warren Hacker PSA-7 $22
    #290 Curt Simmons PSA-7 $22


    PSA-6's:
    #150 Duke Snider PSA-6 $70
    #210 Mike Garcia PSA-6 $20
    #316 Jerry Coleman PSA-6 $22

    Paul - great stuff. I'm going to have a ton of undergraded PSA 7's back from PSA in a day or 2. If you want 7's with great eye appeal, let me know, they'll be priced to move.
