Cross Grading and Tru View service at PCGS.

I need help understanding why PCGS cannot cross grade a coin from NGC into a PCGS holder and NOT
take a picture of the coin at the time of submission? I now have to resend the coin and have it
re-certified (keep in mind it was just holdered) and pay for additional postage, time, inconvienence,
stupidity at having to write this email etc. to have this coin photographed. This is a great
example of what not to do in business? Customer Service also admits the folly of this rule or
whatever you want to call it?

Can someone please tell me what the problem is!

Problem is that when you put a minimun grade for the cross they just hide the label from the graders, if it makes the grade then they crack it out and reholder it, if not you get the coin back still in it's orginal holder.
Photo's are taken only of RAW coins "Before" they are graded.

How hard is it for the graders to put it into something that says GRADED MS65 - TRUVIEW and put it into a box for the imagers to do.

After imaging is done, it goes into a packet with its tag and is sent to encapsulation dept..

ATS I sent a coin to NGC (not NCS) and asked if they thought it should be conserved. It was sent to NCS on my behalf, evaluated, conserved, sent back to NGC, graded, encapsulated, and imaged.

A pen and paper works wonders ? just write down what has to be done with the coin, on the invoice.

I too was told I could not have my crossover imaged, very disappointing considering the incredible quality of image I would have received image
  • The interesting thing is that they also charged my credit card for the tru-view service. No mention of a refund was
included with the returned coin and or invoice? This was a MS66 Florin so it was not a cheap coin. Again this is not
a very good process if they are billing me for work that was not completed? They cannot take a picture of my damn
coin but they can bill my credit card? I agree that the coin could easily have been
handed off to the photography department and then processed?. They do not have a
(good reason for this shortcoming). I am hoping that they can change this very peculiar business practice
and that someone is reading this review that can actually do something to change this nonsense.
