1000 posts, 2000? 5000?

I'm approaching 3k and wondering.
Lance.

And how/when did this get started? What are the standards? What has been done(examples)? I was the lucky recipient of one from Type2 image

I think the only hardfast one is 2982

It's whatever you want. I did them before....a long time ago, around 1000 and maybe a few more "milestones", then I decided to have some giveaways whenever I wanted to.
When one of my "winners" turned around and sold it on the BST shortly after, I kind of chilled on it though image

I got a PM from a member congratulating me for 3000. So, I sent him a coin!
Then I did a giveaway for books. Don't know what next will be. Will have to
    come up with something different.

I did one on my 327th (<---note the number in my name) and another random one later, not necessarily a milestone. Have fun with it, make your own rules!

Just noticed this was my 1700th... nah, the number is too even!
Have bought and sold on BST, many references available when asked.

I think I had one at 7139. It seemed like such a nice round number I had to do something to celebrate!

I did my biggest one when I hit 4878th post.

Basically is a way to have fun and low cost. I gave away a large, PCGS graded, U.S. Minted, business strike, 19th century silver coin.
