What is the going prices for nice electrotype coins?

Pistareen had an old 19th c. electro of a silver center cent, I think he was asking somewhere in the $500-$1000 range. This is an above average electro, because it is from a very rare coin, so much so that you could probably connect it back to the original coin.

Are they still making electrotypes? They are fairly labor intensive to make and and fairly easy to detect. Also, there are easier ways to make quality counterfeits.

I have seen these sell on Heritage, they were made in the 1800's from molds with silver cores and most pre-federal coinage, coming from an estate in NY of coins that have not seen daylight in 50+ years, the rest of the stuff is really nice.
