Dr. Busby game cards
Recently I have been picking these cards up. They began in the 1840's and over time the look changed
reflecting current art work and societies views.
Pictured here are cards which I believe are from the late 19th century.
I have seen the 1905 and 1930 versions and these are not them.
Anyone know exactly when this type was produced?
Thanks for any insight.

Steve, Nothing against you of course, or Drewsf either, but this must be Politically Incorrect Week on the Non Sports Board!!!
Anyway, saw a quote last week on Antiques Raodshow that there are a lot of Collectors that find these items offensive (Black Collectors), and at the same time the most avid collectors of this type of material are certain Collectors (Black Collectors Again).
Interesting!!!

Hi, black americana is very collectible. When I posted them I had no intention of dissing any group.
The cards are what they are.
I just had someone email me and claim that these examples are from the original game 1840.
I'm not ready to buy that yet.
Thanks for the reply.
