I purchase lots like these on Ebay for about $75 per hundred. Right now I'm sitting on about $700 worth of postage, waiting to be used. Unfortunately, I think a combination of factors is destroying the interest in stamps. One is the amount of issues being put out by the USPS; another is the move away from gummed postage stamps. The self-sticking labels used today are harder to show and harder for young collectors to remove from envelopes and save as kids. Also, so much postage is being purchased as online meters. Oh, well. All this is driving me to focus more on classic used stamps and covers. There's something to be said about the intersection of stamps and history along with the hunt for interesting usages, cancellations, etc.
