if anyone is near a cabella's store they have a bounty hunter land star onsale there for around $200. these go for $350 regular. had to pass this along if anyone has been looking for one or just want a back up. happy hunting all john

    They also have a ton of fine semi -auto pistols on sale. That is where I'd put my $200. There is a Cabelas store only 100 miles from me, great place to go , and stop at L.L. Bean on the way home.

    NRA's "American Rifleman" had a good write-up on it. Springfield sent out some promotional email three weeks ago saying they could be test fired at various ranges (and provided a link for those ranges). I haven't seen any for sale, however.
