PSA 10 rc's have trouble selling at $0.99 open bids. (seriously)
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards. Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
<< <i>Are they worth anything to you? That's what is most important if you are into the hobby! >>
+1 You hit the nail on the head. If you buy all your cards as an investment, you will likely be disappointed over the long haul. But if you're passionate about a set or player and work on collecting those cards, then the "value" will hold up nicely. The most "valuable" card in my collection is a 1984 donruss daryll strawberry rc with a nice crease across the center and 4 rounded corners from when i used to play with it on the floor with my family as a kid. Next to that is about $5.0k that I've sunk into high grade Dale Murphy cards that would probably fetch $0.05k on Ebay, but that I would never sell because he was my childhood hero. I'm glad Dontrelle wasn't my childhood hero :>
