how does the "Finest Possible Set Rating" change?

how does the "Finest Possible Set Rating" change?
I have noticed the 1964 Topps Giants one has changed several times over the past few weeks...
what causes that to happen and how can it ever be higher than a 10?

1964 Topps Giants Set Required cards: 60 Finest Possible Set Rating: 10.47

Bigkid, it's a glitch in the system. BJ and the gang know all about it. I could have her fix it, but it will jump above 10.0 again as soon as a few cards are added to the Registry. They're working on the problem.

    ahhh
so what do you think the rating should be on this set? any guesses?

and is it figured on the pop reoprt of what the top grades are available, or something else??

Bigkid, yes it's calculated based on the highest available grade per card in the set factoring in the weightings for the cards. I'll calculate it for you after the next Pop report update if you want.

dont go to any trouble... I was just curious.

I know it is at least 9.2 since that is what the BV set is listed as.

    Thanks~
