Unopened packs .... can you tell which series they are from?

I am pretty new here but love the boards .... I have several unopened packs from 1969 and 1970 and wondered if you can tell which series these packs are from.

For example, on ebay right now I have 2 1969 GAI packs that have 'extra a real autographed photo in each pack'. I have 2 1970 GAI packs that have 'extra all star poster in each pack'. I have several more GAIs from 1969 and 1970 and wondered if someone can help me determine the series.

Thanks

Maybe if you post some pictures of your packs, other board members familiar with packs / cello from that era will be able to help.

I'm pretty sure your 1969 packs are NOT series 1 and/or 2, most likely the 3rd or 4th if legit (see thread about the 73 and 74 packs being opened) based on the fact they contain the deckle insert.

4th series '70 Topps was scratch offs. I'm fairly sure your packs are either 1st and/or 2nd series.

Agree with Anthony. I have a 1970 first series pack showing a league leader card on the back and it advertises the all star poster.

I also opened a 1970 6th series pack at the 1989 baseball hall of fame show and pulled a scratch off too, plus some dudes named Pete Rose and Jim Hunter.

Trying to post a few pictures, followed photo bucket instructions and posting here. Not sure it works, but I'm giving it a try.
  • Wow ... it worked.

OK ... these look the same on front ... any idea what series they are from?

can you send me a high res. scan of the backs an I will help you figure it out? Here's my email

P.S. The 70 advertising the poster is most likely series 1 as mentioned above
