Yeah, it might be fun to hold those bars. But this auction gives me the willys with nearly 2/3 of that 6200 oz in large bars that should be re-assayed/verified before transfer.

<< <i>Why bite at all? Not a particularly great per oz price for my 8 large.
If I am buying 8 million, I would at least gas up the Gulfstream and pick it up in person.
Helluva "lost package" from the USPS. >>

Need the following OBW rolls to complete my 46-64 Roosevelt roll set: 1947-P & D; 1948-D; 1949-P & S; 1950-D & S; and 1952-S. Any help locating any of these OBW rolls would be gratefully appreciated!
We had a guy buy $8,000,000 worth of gold last year in two equal purchases, but he got over 7,600 ounces and we had it Brinksed directly to his bank.
I don't think he would have done it via fleaBay.

Notice that they are buying from wholesalers. All they are doing is attempting to create the illusion that the stuff came from some "hoard" or "collection."
If you want to buy gold, then go to your local dealer or preferred mail order place. You’ll have no question of authenticity and you’ll probably get a much better price.

FWIW, their original auction description was a bit more clear about the source. The guy had a dream that he sold that specific lot of gold for that specific price. Apparently, that didn't sound professional enough, so the description got changed.
