2010 Bowman Retail Hot Boxes?!?!?

Yesterday I was passing a local Walmart and decided to see if they had any 2010 Bowman Blasters... they didn't... but they did have some open box packs, that I felt clearly looked like they had not been molested.

Upon opening the 10 packs, I discovered that the Chrome cards in EVERY pack was just USA cards. These are supposed to be 1 in 4 packs.... yet I was pulling 2 per pack for a total of 17 in 10 packs. The Three chrome cards that were not USA team cards were refractors.

I also got a Gold Jason Heyward, base Heyward, Base Bowman Strasburg

    I think topps does that across all their products. I just opened a box of 2009 Topps Chrome Football Hobby Box and every pack had a refractor.

    Interesting. I don't know if I like the concept or not, really kills the odds for everyone else, while making one person really happy.

    I busted one Blaster like that as well. Same with a regular hobby box, around 10 USA in there.

    2007 Playoff Prestige FB blasters were like that where there were multiple reports of hot boxes that contained all the SP rookies, sometimes duplicates. A single Patrick Willis rookie paid for the entire box. Everything else was gravy.

    Unsure if these are hot boxes or a case of screwed up collation. I bought around 12 boxes of 2010 Bowman. My 2nd and 3rd boxes (hobby) had 4 autos in each. Out of my 12 boxes I pulled like 4 Gold cards /50 and 3 Orange /25. I've never had that happen.

    If you got any Bryce Harper's you did well. Actually, just getting a gold Jason Heyward is good by itself.
