WTB: a cheap certified Jeff Weaver auto card for a little leaguer.

I'm looking for a cheap auto card of Jeff Weaver. It is for one of my little leaguers who is in 6th grade and probably going to be my MVP of the year. He told me the other day that Jeff Weaver is his favorite player. I give each one of my players a little special something at the end of the season and this would obviously be special to him. I really want the card to be a bonafide / certified auto card if at all posssible. PM me if you can help. Thanks, Dean

This card is on Ebay for about $19 bucks (and has a best-offer feature). Do a search for Jeff Weaver Auto

Thanks for your input. I am honestly not wanting to spend that kind of money and I would like to get him in a pro uniform vs an olympic card. I might have to just opt for a small lot of weaver cards. I have 16 kids on the team and I try to keep around $5 each for their end of the year gift. I already have several cheapo graded cards I have purchased and thanks again to everyone on this board who graciously donated some of their cards and the shipping. The boys receive cards after each game (win or lose) and have already played two games. They like getting the cards, especially since you guys donated some cool modern stuff with some players they acutally know, not just the old late 80's early 90's crapola that I was giving!!!!!! Tonight will be the third (2-0 so far) so wish us good luck and thanks again fellas for your generosity. Sincerely, Dean Adkins

Why do you have to be freaking rude? I didn't ask anybody to donate this card and I just wanted to thank everyone again and let them know the boys were enjoying the cards that had been donated previously. I said I was looking for a cheap Weaver card and the one mentioned was more than I wanted to spend and that someone might have one that doesn't mean much to them. I saw the specific one that was mentioned sell for $3.25 or something the other day. It was just not one I wanted for the kid. Jeff Weaver is obviously not a major star name like A-Rod, Jeter, Pujols, etc... AGAIN, Why do you have to be rude, I try to live my life at this point to coach kids, be a positive influence, and do good things for kids!!!! If you cannot be nice then please do not respond to my posts.

There's a seller on Beckett's site with one for less than $10/dlvd.

    Link to card

Besides, if this kid is your MVP, why not splurge an extra few bucks?

What a bummer, I went to the link you provided and it said out of stock. That honestly would have been my first choice card also image I am willing to go a couple of extra bucks for him. Thanks for looking for me. I appreciate it.

Although I know it's sometime hard, ignore posters like jivan - evidently he just can't help himself to post crap like that. I hope you find what you're looking for. If I had one, I'd certainly send it to you for nothing, but I don't do autographs. If you have anything else specific in mind for one of you other players, drop me a PM and I may be able to help you out. Take care and keep up the nice gestures!!!!

    Dean,

What team do most of your kids root for? I may have some RAW autographed cards that I could send to you. Some of the guys your kids (and possibly me as well) may never have heard of, but I am sure there would be some guys that they know. The cards will not be valuable cards, but knowing that they have an autograph of a guy who played in the major leagues may be fun for the kids!

Give me a few teams, in order of preference, and I will see if I have anything to donate to your kids.

    STAY HEALTHY!
