It is obvious from this thread (and my own experiences) that collecting and hoarding are part of a spectrum. It is only a problem if it interferes with your (or your family) desired life style, places you in financial harm or creates a fire hazard (with coins avoid albums and flammable boxes). I guess the slab box of 20 crowd are aberrations to the collector mentality or recovered coinaholics. Painful as it is, develop a set of rules for purchases or hoarding face value stuff. Rank your possessions and sell or give away starting at the bottom of the list. If you begin to feel better with each distribution you are on your way.
