This one arrived today from Germany. It inflicted some heavy damage to the coin budget, but I just couldn't pass it up due to the detail and surfaces. It is a 1779 sede vacante medal from Wurzburg commemorating the empty seat of Adam Friedrich von Seinsheim, the Bishop of Bamberg from 1757 - 1779. 46mm in size; classified as Zepernick 261.
Its not hard to see the similarities to the 1795 sede vacante medal from Wurzburg (Zepernick 263) struck to commemorate the empty seat following the death of Franz Ludwig von Erthal 1779–1795.
