What a week.

Sorry to vent here, but what a week. After getting home from vacation, I found out that our wildcat that we boarded had been throwing up and not eating. She's 8 years old and has a heart condition, so there's every reason to worry. She needed a fluid injection and still didn't eat. Finally, after 5 days, she finally ate on Friday. Yesterday she devoured her food and is coming back strong. We worry about her due to her heart but this cat has incredible resiliency. Only weighs 7.5 pounds but she's pretty spunky. That consumed our whole week.

Then, it's election week here in Texas or at least in our city and I've been helping a guy who was running for city council. That took a lot of time.

And it's 98 degrees and humid. After being in California where it was 70-80 and awesome.

I need a vacation after my vacation.

Sounds a lot like my week... went a few states north to visit family for the first part of the week... back on Wed. evening. Rested up Thursday and Fri. for the oldest kids' b-day trip to Disney World on Sat.(talk about hot & humid!!!!), then the actual party with gifts on Sunday evening. Back to work today... I desperately need a trip to a nice card show!!

  • Hope your cat is feeling better. The other week, I had a flat tired in the morning, and in the afternoon, I left my lights on and my car battery died out. Can anyone else say they had those two things ever happened to them on the SAME day!??! I bet not! But it happened to me.
    Thanks for your help everyone.
  • Hope your cat lives a long and happy live Ron. We have 4 cats ourselves and they range from 2-15 and also feed 4 other cats that live outside so they have their personalities and favorities so its tough to go on vacation without worrying about them.

Thanks everyone. The little wildcat is improving, eating canned food twice a day and treats in between. She looks much better.

She's so sweet and timid and shy, yet incredibly smart. We've got her trained to do certain things based on certain commands.

She's had a heart condition since we got her at age 2, and eventually it will probably catch up with her. Hopefully that day is a long way off. She takes 2 pills a day for it.....ever try to give a cat a pill? This one, thankfully, takes them just fine.

Hope everyone has a good week......
