Canadian 1859 large cent ?

Opinion please! Anything special with the #5 (1859) and re-engraved the stem with the eighth leaf ? Is it a common variety? Thanks.

Having the re-engraved stem at leaf 8 makes it a keeper. On another site, holders of large numbers of 1859's found the ratio about 40:1. What you have is a very nice coin as well ... there is no TPG company that will recognize this variety except maybe CCCS. It's a keeper! I would say that the 5 has either a die chip between the knob and the upper stem .. or a die crack there. I don't recall seeing any of those, but I really don't look at the 5's much, so I can't tell you about the scarcity..... but the majority of 5's are all R/P'd.

Lots of nice die cracks also. How about a pic of the back side?
