Masterson looked masterful

Justin Masterson, put the big slappin' on the Red Sox last night. JM was traded from the Red Sox last year for Martinez and two rookies. I'll bet Theo et al were wondering "what were we thinking?". Always liked Masterson, level headed and did his best for the Red Sox, I was sorry to see him go. If ya gotta get crushed, better by a classy guy like JM than other possibilities.

Masterson really has not done anything since the trade and it might be Theo's best trade. He was good for us as a long middle reliever, but Victor is a middle of the order hitter.

I love it when two red sox fans go at it......hopefully Masterson has turned the corner and will be great for the Indians for awhile. Saw him twice last year after the trade and he was dominating both times except he had too, too many walks. If he has turned the corner control wise he could be good for a long time.

Masterson was a great 7 or 8 inning reliever for the Sox. Whether he can be a starter remains to be seen -- I wish him well, he's a good person.

I don't regret the trade though -- Cleveland was not going to let V-Mart go for nothing!

good for the kid..... he's looked better than his stats show and he doesn't get much run support. If he can cut down a bit on the walks, he's got ace potential....at least for Cleveland. Been kinda sad to see them dismantle their team brick by brick, year after year... Sabathia, Lee, Victor, Gutierrez, Blake, etc etc.... now injuries to two of their best in Cabrera and Sizemore. They just always seem like a good team in an abusive relationship with itself, destined for failure.... Now they gotta face Strasburg!!!!

what I meant was there appeared to be one Red Sox fan who liked the trade and another who didn't and they were discussing it on the thread. Usually Red Sox nation is always in unison on a topic. sorry..... al.
