Anyone having problems with ebay?

I was wondering if anyone has been having these problems with ebay:
For the last week or so, I've been unable to log out of ebay. Every time I try to log out, my browser locks up, and I have to do a forced shut off of my system, and reboot it. I've basically given up logging off, and have simply been closing out my browser without logging off.
Now today, I've been having the same problem trying to get enlarged pictures of the item. You know how a picture of each item is located in the upper-left-hand corner of the auction web page. Then if you click on the link under the small picture, you get an enlarged picture of the item. Well, every time I've tried that today, it locks up my system and I can't do anything except a forced shut off and reboot.
This problem just cost me an item I was trying to bid on. I tried to see an enlarged picture of the item, and it locked up my system with about 1 minute to go.
Ebay is the only website I'm having this problem with. No other website has been doing this.
Does anyone know what's going on?
I've tried looking at ebay's help pages, but am completely confused by them.

I will say, eBay in general has been annoying me more and more lately. Might take a break from it again for a little while.

You might try clearing your browser cache.
If you are a PC, you might scan for viriuses, in the event something is intercepting what you are trying to do.

I clean my browser cache every night, and I ran a complete Norton antivirus check last night. I also ran a "quick scan" on Norton this evening. I'm still having these problems, only with ebay.

I use Firefox and have had zero issues on eBay.

You might check to see if there is newer JAVA software available for your system. Ebay from time to time changes some Javascript stuff, which always
causes my older brower (non-PC) problems. Sometime, upgrading my software helps.
I also just checked java.com, and I have the current version 6 update 20.

<< <i>I was having similar problems last week .. I updated a version of ie8 and now everything is smooth!
Ryan
Thank you Ryan!
I just did that and I'm not only not having those problems any more, my computer seems to be running about 10-times faster!
Now, I just have to figure out how to get IE8 and HP compatible with each other. I'm now getting messages that IE8 is not compatible with HP, and using HP could crash my system!
When I went to microsoft.com, I also found where they're evidently forcing people to migrate from windows XP to windows 7, and will no longer support XP users after mid-July. According to the tutorial, the migration involves moving everything you've saved on your harddrive, to an external hard disk, since the upgrade to W7 will wipe out your harddrive. Then, you'll need to reinstall all your programs by hand after installing W7
What the hell are they smoking at microsoft?

It's always a good idea to reformat when installing a new operating system. Especially going from XP to Win7.

I would recommend using firefox or chrome instead of IE. Also your XP will continue to work just fine after July, they just want to sell you their new operating system.
