Braddick: A 1793 Chain Cent for You!

Though you probably already have seen it, there is a P01 1793 chain cent in Monday's Teletrade auction. However, it's in an ANACs holder, so you'd have to cross it. Of curse, if it crosses there's not much concern that PCGS will downgrade it. Anyway, the "coin" is amazing--it looks like a really nasty piece of copper.

    Sounds like a coin Pat might be interested in, but get rid of the orginal holder, it has to down grade!!!!!!!!!

    The Chain I'm hoping for one day is one that'll provide a nice clean, smooth, chocolate planchet with a full chain and head. It'll still be a PO01, or maybe a FA02. This one, as discussed, appears nothing more than Basel State (if that were still a grade). The wait for the right coin is worth it.

    I saw a nice anacs FA2 at baltimore!
    It appeared to be problem free. You could actually read LIBERTY and see part of the head and date!
