WOW. I just did some high powered math while looking through what is required for the set.
104 coins total required.
The year 1945 requires 7 coins....that is what I noticed first. I thought, wow, that's a lot....then I noticed 1941 requires 9! Just between those 2 years...that is 15.4% of the collection. Holey cow!
Do not misinterpret here....I am not complaining....I am excited about the loooong journey I am on. Just something I noticed. If I can just take care of those two years I will make a serious dent in the series.
Are there any other looooong variety series like this where there are a ton of coins for just 1 year? In the merc series we have a year with 9......is there anything else that tops that?

The coolest thing about it is, when it's slow at a coin show, I can go through my 90% silver that I buy and occasionally pick out one of the business strike 1964 varieties. Helps pass the time at some of the small shows.
