My turn for 1891 canadian cent help :(

I was looking at smittys post about these and it looks like from what sly said the nine isn't showing in the line from the N but the 9 has a notch in it that I think I read is indicative to the large date any feedback is appreciated as I'm still a newby at this
thanks
Ken

Ken - It is a LDLL. Both the 9 and the 1 move around on these. - Rob

Bill's rule of thumb works in most cases, but the 9's on a few of the LDLL dies are pretty far to the right and don't quite line up with the N, while the 9 on two of the SDLL dies are pretty far left and nearly line up with the N.

Yep, sorry ... My "vertical line with the N" is just a general Rule of Thumb, as Rob says. It works nearly all the time (I've had it possibly not work only on a couple SD's where it was close, but still not touching), but those mint-floor workers wielded some mean hammers and never struck in the same place twice. What you have is definitely LD, even at arm's length. Sorry for the confusion.
