All BU Franklin Halve Roll Set

Looking to sell this set. Looking for reliable pricing guides/historical sales figures. My dealer seems a little unsure himself.

I'm grateful in advance for any clear direction.

depends entirely on the coins. Original rolls? Put together rolls? Gem, Choice, Unc, or AU/BU?

Value ranges from essentially melt-based prices on up to the sky... depending. gonna need a lot more info, and preferably pictures.

an average BU set is worth from $300 to maybe $600 Link to typical retail sale offer of a BU set

and so far, it sounds like you have 20 of these

I believe this to be reflected accurately by Greysheet Bid. Most of the later date roll pricing here is a direct function of bullion prices, although the better date rolls, 1948PD through 1955 will realize resistance at the bid level unless they are extremely nice. An example would be the '49S roll. At prorata "bid" these are $83.75 per coin. At this price, these need to be all 65s and already certified. I would say a legitimate offer to buy the whole set would probably be bid less 5-10% for 1956 through 1963, and bid less 10-20% on 1948 through 1955, with a few exceptions.

Thanks for the replies. I'm grateful. To clarify, I've got a full roll of Gem BU's for each date and mint for the Franklins, all in clear, hard-plastic tubes. I understand many are being bought to parse out into Franklin half sets (1 coin per date and mint in some decorative album).

These rolls were purchased as a set 30 years ago and haven't been touched since. No telling what's there. I don't know whether to break open each roll and look for gems to grade or whether to sell as is. Surely there will be some sliders in there. Standing offer now from the dealer has crossed the $9K mark.

    Any more thoughts?
