Let the resub games begin

Now that PSA has added half point grades for the Topps 62,63 baseball sets I see a wave of resubs from those years. I notice the up arrows in the SMR price guide are for half point grades only? I guess the only cards that have gained any value over most of this year are the half point grades 7.5, 8.5 thats in their guide that have half point grades listed. So for all you registry boys who drank the cool aid, their is a new price guide in town.

it's just numbers on paper.....before you tighten the noose, realize that some of the assumed values for new 7.5 & 8.5 grades include cards which DON'T YET EVEN EXIST in those grades. image
  • You are correct, they don't even have a card in that grade yet can give it a value. I just find it strange that the only price increase I see in their guide seems to be for the half point grades.

It seems rather silly to use SMR as an actual guide for card values!
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

I don't think anyone really cares what SMR or Beckett or any other price guide says.

So perhaps the funny thing isn't collectors buying cards they enjoy, but rather those that get worked up over the ideal that someone might want to replace their 8 with an 8.5.
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
