question about PCGS Copper Grading

Why would they not designate color? That makes zero sense.

There is no change in how Secure Plus designates color from the traditional PCGS slab.

PCGS is still going to be giving out there color designations just adding a plus if the coin is worthy of the plus grade. All the registry sets have higher point values for the plus in all color designations

There IS a difference in how PCGS grades copper coins (includes RED, RED/BROWN, & BROWN) and how PCGS guarantees copper coins. They will show the indicated color and grade on the label. They no longer guarantee that coins they grade as RED will remain RED so if a RED graded coin turns in the holder they will NOT reimburse you at the current value of a RED coin. They will reimburse you for the indicated grade value (ie) MS 64, MS64+, MS65, etc). Steve

The way it reads on the new holders is "MS67+RD"

I know that because I saw the killer MS67+RD 1909 VDB Lincoln Cent that Andy from Angel Dee's had at the show which is probably one of the best, if not the very best, 1909 VDB business strikes in existence!!
